SWINBROOK

From London, take M40, leave at junction 8 for Oxford on to A40. Follow A40 past Oxford to Witney bypass. At end of bypass dual carriageway, stay on M40 for Burford and Cheltenham. After approx one mile turn right to Swinbrook (signed as single-track road). Turn is awkward but there is a kind of passing-lane/lay-by on the left hand side of the road. Ground is beyond the first crossroads, on the lefthand side. Just beyond the ground, across the Windrush bridge, is the Swan pub, a key hostelry and meeting point.
