WINDRUSH VALLEY C.C.

Windrush Valley play at the village of Great Barrington, Gloucestershire. From London, follow the M40 and A40 to Burford, approx 25 miles west of Oxford. At Burford, continue west on the A40 for two miles then turn right to Little Barrington and Great Barrington (road may be signed "The Barringtons"). Turn left (west) outside Little Barrington, then shortly afterwards turn right (north) for Great Barrington. You will pass the Fox Inn on the right hand side, with the Windrush river on the far side of the pub, where the road goes into a dip. The ground is approx 100 yards past the pub on the left-hand side, through an awkward gateway and up a narrow track. The pavilion is in the top right-hand corner of the ground. To park, turn left at the pavilion and park by the trees in the top lefthand corner of the ground. Or you can leave your car in the Fox car park and walk from there. The Fox is recommended for food, beer and its river-side ambience.

You can also reach Great Barrington on a scenic route from Burford. At the crossroads in the centre of Burford, head north on the A424/A361. After 200 yards or so turn left (west) to the Barringtons. After a mile or so, the road follows the line of the Windrush Valley. Pass through Little Barrington, turn right for Great Barrington, and you come to the Fox pub (see above).
